HOW TO GET THERE & WHERE TO STAY

1. How to get there:

First things first, where on earth is Vejer?

Vejer (or Vejer de la Frontera) lies nestled on the Atlantic coast of Spain, also known as Costa de la Luz, between the cities of Cadiz and Tarifa.

2. What about distances & transportation?

You can get very good information and directions on how to get to Vejer here

Some useful logistics tips:

You will need to rent a car to get to Vejer, or team up with someone who does (we’ll offer an option for guests to coordinate arrivals on the website or via email)

Vejer is a 2 hrs drive from Malaga airport, 1.45 hrs drive from Sevilla airport and 40 minutes drive from Jerez de la Frontera airport (for driving instructions check the link above)

Jerez (to the north of Vejer) is a great option, but not many companies fly that route and usually it involves changing flights in Madrid or Barcelona. It is also slightly more expensive. Malaga and Sevilla offer a lot more flights and price flexibility.

For flights, please check the spanair, iberia and other links under BLOGROLL on the right. For car rental companies, check malaga car or rent a car spain

3. Where to stay

Guests book their own hotel rooms or flat. Please do so in good time as September is still high season and places tend to fill up. For a list of hotels please consult the links listed on the right navigation or click here and here

We especially recommend La Casa del Califa and Casa Cinco. Vejer is small and almost all hotels are within walking distance of the town center. Please make sure to ask that your hotel is located in Vejer town.
